Metabolite Generation and ID


HUREL micro livers produce robust metabolite yields that closely correlate to metabolites generated by parent compounds in vivo, as  illustrated below by XK469, timolol, and meloxicam, three highly stable compounds that demonstrate aldehyde oxidase-mediated biotransformation (top rank of charts).  HUREL’s met-gen competency is species-specific—including monkey, rat, and dog—as evidenced by the metabolites formed by HUREL from tolbutamide, warfarin, verapamil, and meloxicam (second rank of charts below).
